About Me

I was born in Rochelle, IL, but grew up primarily in Stanley, NM. I met my husband at the Christian Student Center for the University of New Mexico, and we married in 2000. We have three beautiful girls that I am privileged to care for as a stay-at-home mom. Over the years I have tried many things to bring in a little extra money: Avon, transcribing legal documents, and personal training, among others.  After battling back trouble and two surgeries I "retired" from teaching Muay Thai as a personal trainer and started looking for something to keep me busy and fulfilled.
I've always loved to write and have been blessed to write and publish the first two books in my series of Christian children's books: "Daddy What Does Faith Look Like?" and "I'm Looking for God Today."  My next children's book is in the draft stages.
I recently published "Becoming a Proverbs 31 Woman: Learning to Lose the Intimidation," a Bible study based on the characteristics of the Proverbs 31 woman, and my next study for women, titled "Practical Christianity," will follow soon after.

I write freelance articles and blog postings which keeps me busy and grants me a paycheck. My heart, however, is with my creative outlets, and I'm always thinking of new projects to start!

You can reach me via email at: amandap3311@gmail.com. I love to hear from readers and fans!
